 So far we have some excellent themes in the Theme Database but we need more to expand it! So if you have an unsubmitted theme then check it out.

About 84 days after our launch, one of our main Goals is nearly archieved:
The PHP-Fusion Theme Database opens for you!
It will be the main tool to organize the confusing multitude of PHP-Fusion Themes and present them in an accessible and utilizable way for you.
There are many features that will make using this Database as comfortable as possible for you. I will give you an quick Overview:
The Overview Page:
The Display Options:
By default, you only see Category, Version and Ordering Options. This is intended to not confuse unexpereinced users with a lot of Options. If you klick on the Toggle Advanced Options Link, you will get a bit more options.
Default Options:
Category:
You can select three different ways to display all themes or to display only the themes of a certain category.
· All [categorized]:
Shows all Themes in their specific Category
· All [uncategorized]:
Shows all Themes without devision in Categories. This is useful to Order all Themes by one property and not just the Themes of each Category.
· All [Slideshow]:
The Themes Are all shown with Screenshots for a more pictorial overview
· <Catname>:
Shows all the Themes in the Category <Catname>
PHP-Fusion Version:
Currently, this Feature is not of much use as all Themes for PHP-Fusion Versions since 6.00.00 should at least work with all other 6.x Versions with few limitations. However, this might be really useful in the Future when we are going through Theme Structure Changes.
· <Version>:
Shows all Themes that are designed for this PHP-Fusion version
Order by:
Should go without saying. Using this, you can Order the Themes by a number of properties and define the way in which they will be ordered.
Advanced Options:
Search for:
Let's you Search for a term in the Themes Name, Description or Both
Search in:
Defines where to "Search for".
Author:
If you want to see only the Themes of a specific Author, just select one from the list.
Validity:
To only show Themes featuring valid CSS and/or HTML, you can check both here.
Note:
The Display Options are sent via GET (appended to the URL). This makes it possible to bookmark a configuration or to link to a specific configuration.
Examples:
The Top Themes are automatically selected Themes that have a high popularity. A Theme's popularity is calculated via View Count, Download Count, Comments and Rating in a specific secret relation. Only Themes with more than 5 downloads are included in the calculation.

Submissions:
About Submissions:
Submissions are the source of life for the Theme DB. Without your Submissions, all the above Features will be senseless. Please submit your Themes or Themes that are allowed to be redistributed (f.e. all GPL based Themes) :)
To do so, you can go here and submit your Theme.
We will review your Submission and notify you about the result as soon as possible. If you stiked to the Guidelines,the Theme will very likely be approved and immediately be avaliable in the Theme DB.
After your Submission was approved and added to the Theme Database, we will keep you up to date about your Theme Submission. Whenever your Theme reaches a certain number of Views, Downloads or Comments, is flagged recommended or should be updated due to Changes in the PHP-Fusion Theme Structure, we will notify you about it.
Quick Navigation:
The Quick Navigation will bring you back to the Overview or Category and suggests Theme specific Display Options such as "View all Themes of the same Author".
Quick Report:
The Theme Database consists of only 2133 Lines of Code but this Code is used efficiently utilizing functions that handle multiple tasks. For example, there is just one Function to Check submissions and to editing of Themes. Another Function Writes Submissions and Updates Themes, too. This complexity makes some things easier, e.g integration of new features, layout changes, etc. as just one code part is to be edited, but it also opens sources of error. To close those which remained despite the Crew internal Beta Test, I added a Quick Report Feature that will only be integrated for the first time after the release. Please make use of this feature whenever you find an error or have an idea how to make something more comfortable or functional. Thank you.

Notice of Pending Downtime

We will be under going some major server maintenance in the next few days which may require us to take the server offline for about 24 hours. We are actually moving physical locations from one datacenter to another so the time between transit and the time to hook up and re-evaluate everything may only take a couple hours or it could take close to 24. What will take atleast 24 hours will be the domain name propagation when we switch IP's. I will post the direct IP to the new fusion server when it becomes available.
Fusion Network Sites Affected: php-fusion.co.uk, phpfusion-mods.com, crew site, and all staff sub domains.

 Theme Downloads from the main downoads page will I warn you be temporaily unavaliable. We are sorry for this and hope it does not cause any disruption.

I apologize for the lack of News about the Theme Database lately. This does not mean there was no progress but rather the opposite, I dedicated all my time to the Coding and testing of the Database.
Although the main shape of the DB is finished and everything works fine, there are still many details that still need some work:
-Better Success and Error Messages
-Better Integration of Admin features
-Better Navigation between Pages (e.g. back to Home, Submit, etc.)
-A Code Cleanup (The DB utilizes functions where possible but some of them could be consolidated)
-Total checkthough
-prevention of unhandled exceptions

Overview:
 · Order and Searchable Overview over the whole ThemeDB contents. To keep it simple for unexpierenced users, the advanced options are only shown if wanted. Elsewise, just the PHP-Fusion version, Category and Order Options are selectable.
The Advanced Options feature:
- Search inside Theme Name and Description
- Only display Themes with valid CSS and/or HTML
- Display only Themes by a certain author
- Display only Themes that have been flagged as recommended

· A number of so called Top Themes, that are chosen through a special combination of download count, view count, rating and comment count
· A growing number of Statistics for those who love numbers and those who are just interested in the "behind the scenes" stuff.

Here, you get general Information about the Theme, like:

- Version
- compatible PHP-Fusion Version
- Submission Date
- Date of Last change
- Copyright Information
Additionaly, you can find detailed information about the Theme, such as:
- Description
- Validity (CSS/HTML)
- Main Color
- Amount of Graphic
- Brightness
- Width and Width type (e.g. 80% => variable width)
- Blank Button and Logo availability
- Theme specific Statistics
Of course, you can also Download the Theme, view a Screenshot and directly switch to the Theme to preview it in Action.
To help other Users, you can comment on the Theme or rate it and to help us, you can report a dead Download Link to us by one click.

PHP Fusion v6.1.6 released!

Unfortunately, I have to announce another update, but security is a key concern more than ever. v6.01.6 provides a fix for a low-level xss hole in the $PHP_SELF and $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] variables, something that quite a few developers have never thought of from what I have read! oo err. Thanks goes to K_ros for his co-operation and information :)

 I must say a huge well done and thanks to johslind for making some excellent Theme Guides! These Theme Guides are really for basics of the theme files but is very helpful! It includes the theme_fuctions_include.php file in one of the guides which I personally don't want to use with Theme Info Guides. So Well Done johslind!

 Currently I'm stuck on what to do the rest of the guides on. I've got 6 and 7 planned for Images and CSS but then what ? I was debating a PHP Nuke Theme to PHP Fusion Theme Guide which if you ask I will work on. So basically in words I'm asking what you would like Theme Info Guide 8,9 and 10 on ?? Converting themes ? Other parts of Themes ? Tell me and I will do! Post a comment on this news post if you've got an idea for a new guide. Remember it can't be the same as the older Theme Info Guides!  Yes, After a long hard day of work and along month of work, All the old themes posted have been revamped and are now avaliable for use with PHP Fusion v6 ! We would like to thank everyone who helped for all there hard work!. So now they are all ready for viewing, Just go to the Theme Updates Forum and download the theme you wish, They will of course all be added to the Theme DB

If you now go into the theme guides section you will see that all afternoon I was working on alot of Guides to help with the main parts of themes and items in them. I've also posted the Theme Updating Guide.
To see these guides just go to the Theme Guides page of the site. Also I am now an Admin on the team to help PHP Fusion Themes. If you have any problems with Themes then please just contact me via PM
